How to test AC compressor?

    How do you check to see if ac compressor works? it is not cooling and I know it has freon

    2 inch lift, bumper and winch 33" mud claw
    You can watch the clutch engage and disengage have some flip a/c on while you watch the compressor if it don't engage the system most like has a pressure switch on the accumulator it maybe low on freon

    If the clutch is engaging and it's still not cooling then issue is going to be more serious oh and welcome from Texas

    @Adam39601 is there any screeching noise from the compressor when the a/c is turned on or just the normal click when a/c turned on? @TJ_abuser are these possible signs of low freon or a bad clutch or bad compressor?

    There is aggrex but without gages.... You can ohm out the clutch coil .

    lets start with you do not have any freon, WHAT !! system does not use freon*.
    If you have trouble deciding if AC clutch is operating I suggest you seek a professional to assist.
    Are there ANY codes? Some issues/codes and the PCM will restrict AC on.
    The key to AC work is GAUGES both high and low readings.
    Can you check - fuse box fuse #11 and PDC fuse # 21

    * R134a 'suva' or just say refrigerant.
