Biggest tires for 2010 Jeep Liberty with 2.5" lift?

Okay so I'm a first time jeep owner and new to the forum so sorry if this isn't a good question. I've been looking and can't find the answer to my question anywhere. Anyway, I got a 2010 jeep liberty with stock tires are rims. I'm going to put in 2.5" RC lifting blocks to level it out and give it some more height and was wondering what size tires I could fit with these on my jeep. My current tire size is 235/70r16. Also, do any of you have recommendations for what tire to get that would be awesome.

I'm sorry. I'm not very familiar with your Jeep brand vehicle. There's several issues involved. Fenders, steering components could be an issue. Mainly rubbing issues. Hope some one with more experience with your Jeep will jump on and help.

Tires. What exactly are you looking for? Daily driver, mild offroad, etc.....
Also keep in mind. If you get bigger than stock tires that came off the line. It will throw your speedometer off. Just some thing to consider.

 

Find out what tire size you can program the jeep's computers to accept.

Those selling wheels/tires should have the needed scanners, programmers to answer this - if not RUN don;t walk away.

 

I don't know about the KK Liberty but I have a buddy with a KL (2002-2007) Liberty with 2.5" lift and 245/75/16 tires (30.5").
Yours should be able to do about the same.

Ridge grapplers all the way. Smooth quiet and tough as hell. In addition to the height of the tire, you need to consider width as well. If you get too wide of a tire the inside walls will rub on the upper control arms and potentially put a big gash in the tire/wallet. You might have to either buy new wheels with a smaller backspace to push the tire away from the steering and suspension or buy wheel spacers. If you go that route you could possibly put an even larger tire on your rig.

 

How did I know doc was going to recommend ridge grapplers? Do you have stock in nittos especially ridge grapplers doc? You will be proud to know my 35's will be ridge grapplers.

 

My first Jeep brand product was a 05 liberty. It would run like a scalded dog. I traded it in on my LJ.

I am definitely going to go with nitto's next too many people tell me they ride and wear great. I am however worried that the ridge grapplers won't sing enough for me. FYI I love the sound of ground hogs but they are bias ply yukkkkk

 

The ridge grapplers are pretty damn quiet. Even after several rotations they are great. I've always had noisy ass mud tires and I'm so happy I bought the RG's

Dang not me!! Between the tires roaring and the exhaust droning I couldn't stand driving my truck at the time haha. I don't mind it for a little bit but when I gotta drive 1 1/2 hours it damn near drives me nuts

 

I'm with you Alex @boondoc89 . I picked up MT MTZ P3S Baja mudders for the winter. And they just alil to loud for me. So I think next winter I'm going with the ridge grapplers. I've seen and heard nothing but good things bout them. My Pro Comp AT Sports are nice and quite. But they suck in the snow.
