New to the forum here and have seen some older posts but no resolutions

Any updates on this issue with engine light coming on followed shortly by traction control light and then engine running with reduced power/not shifting down at highway speeds? Symptom has happened in full sequence twice over several months and in addition have had intermittent engine light that clears with in a day or so.

Both times at highway speeds for loss of power / shifting issues after engine light and traction control light come on

Only mods are 295/70 R17 NItto TG2 with Fuel Beast rims. And Bilstein Shock replacements - 4-5 months prior to these issues.

    Thanks!

welcome hope we can help -

The CEL was on SO there is a code stored. Suggestion 1 would be a scan. FREE at auto part stores. SCAN even if CEL is now off.

Mention ANY engine modifications and aftermarket parts.

Welcome @ClimbandRide ! Get the codes read at auto parts stores like Advance Auto and post them here. The codes can be erased but will reappear as the problem(s) need to be addressed.

this is a BANK 1 CMP sensor issue, bank 1 is passenger side.

Lets start easy simple, this is a VVT engine SO engine oil is critical, correct weight, filter and must change it often!
tell us the oil, filter change routine, to be safe add 1 bottle 'risolone' an oil detergent just incase any sludge varnish.

Check elec connector on CMP sensor passenger head top of valve cover rear, tight corrosion free.

How are you with a DVOM and a wiring diagram if its not the simple easy?

CMP is item #5 in attachment
