hello, i recently purchased a 2014 wrangler and have taken it on a 10 hour trip to Texas. About 9 hours into the trip , my traction control light came on. I pulled over, restarted the Jeep, no more light. I make it to my destination and upon pulling in the parking lot, my check engine light came on and won’t go away. Any ideas ????

Welcome @Dlparker94 . First chance you get head over to an auto parts store like Advance Auto as they offer free code scans. Get the codes and post them here. The codes will set you free.

^+1 for the check engine light. But it's not likely the two lights are the same issue.

On the ABS make sure your steering wheel is centered or it can come on.
If it's centered then it could be an ABS sensor or the wiring.
Rear sensors are a breeze to install, front not as easy but not too bad either :)

But like AGGREX said, start with getting the codes.

When the traction control light came on I was near a dealer and these are the codes.

    Abs. C1252. Active
PCM. P2096. Pending. Downstream fuel trim system 1 lean

PCM. P258b Active. Electric vacuum pump performance

PCM P0140. Pending. O2 sensor 1/2 signal inactive

PCM. P0137. Pending. 02 sensor 1/2 circuit low

TIPMCGW. B1934. Stored. Driver door lock/unlock switch circuit stuck

TIPMCGW. U0184. Active. Lost communication with radio

Haven’t been able to get the check engine light codes but like I said the traction control light went off prior to the engine light coming on

WELCOME to the club!!!:jeepwave: Hope we can help, have fun anyway.

TEXAS - what did I hear about Texas - only what comes from texas. :gossip:

OK I got that out of system....

We can guess till the steers come home OR better yet visit a autopart store Advance, autozone Orielys et al
they do FREE scans , copy down and post ALL the codes they retrieve; someone will advise.
Try to refrain from buying parts just based on a code. Did I mention FREE easy fast.

Did you purchase jeep from a jeep dealer? Certified used hopefully, Also is jeep STOCK looks like some mods were done - radio, Engine mods/ exhaust mods?
    Anything you can add?
Your skill and comfort level ? professional, DIYer, I just drive it.
I will need more time to check TSB as TIPMs were problematic @ this year and want to get that info.

C1252 and P258B issues likely tied together - check fuse and relay- diagram 1
TMI - Electronic Vacuum Pump, system likely wiring. IF fuse is good we are into some serious DVOM and wiring diagram work and a scanner will be needed. - I am betting on fuse.

U0184 this is a radio code - likely someone swapped radio - again a scanner needed to look at configuration.
B1934 how do driver locks operate OK or NFG? TIPM is a possibility. Again a scanner needed. Diagram 2

    More common issues
P0137 low voltage on sensor return - B1S2
    P0140 inactive reading B1S2
So there is a wiring issue at B1 S2 - modifications I mentioned?
    P2096 again a B1S2 post cat o2 sensor issue - modifications?
