Hello, hope I'm posting this correctly. I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler X (all original stock). I have been having the infamous knock/pop in my steering wheel and gas pedal, normally after the car has warmed up. I can feel the knock/pop in the steering wheel and gas pedal (at the same time) you can also hear it. It happens more prominently when I turn the wheel (Left or Right) and on the wheels return. You can subtly feel it going over bumps when driving straight (sounds more like a rattle).

At the moment I can't afford to bring it into a garage (schools a killer). I'm by no means mechanically inclined but I love learning when I can. Iv researched many forums discussing similar symptoms and I've carried out, to the best of my ability, what to check. I feel like iv checked everything, the driving shaft, stabilizer, drive box, etc; none seem to have any significant play in them.

Again I hope iv posted this correctly and if any of you fellow Jeep people have any recommendations or questions, please I'll try anything!

    Is your track bar loose?

Welcome! In addition to the above, inspect the ball joints, shock mounts for some movement.

    Welcome to the forum.
I'd start with advice posted up top. Disconnect steering stabilizer. Have some one turn steering wheel like 6 to 9 back and forth. Crawl under and look for play in the track bar, tie rod, drag link, and control arms. Also look at shocks. Could be bad bushings. If no play is noticed. Could be a ball joint issue.

I'll be sure to give all of the above a thorough look this weekend and get back to ya with the results! Thanks, everyone!
