About to acquire a 160,000 mile '93 Wrangler with a blown engine, unknown drivetrain condition, crappy body, bad tires and things I have not yet discovered. I needed a winter project and a Jeep Wrangler seemed to fit the bill - simple mechanics and body, readily available parts, good resale potential and hey, it's a Jeep! I have absolutely no experience or expertise with Jeeps, but I've got a reasonable level of mechanical and body expertise, having built/rebuilt several projects in the past. One thing I have learned is that forums like this are absolutely essential and I'm looking forward to picking the brains of the veterans here.
