    Generally the PO432 refers to an issue with the O2 sensor (down stream) or failing cat converter. Not too hard to replace the O2 sensor. I posted a thread recently which will give you a few tips.

    Help me some confusion-
    P0432-2/1 CATALYTIC CONVERTER EFFICIENCY, - its early coffee is brewing, yeah late night.
    BANK 2 on a 2001 WJ 4.0L will have me asking- why bank 2 code on a non California emissions...
    look at diagram - do you have the 2 mini cats?

    other info that will help -
    Post ALL codes?
    History repairs, modifications, parts replaced.
    Vehicle is STOCK engine trans systems?
    What have you done to address this?
    Do you have a scanner?

    It's stock engine and trans. Carfax says o2 sensor replaced but not which one. Had Auto Zone put their scanner on it and it said p 0432. Nothing else.

    INTERMITTENT CONDITION
    VISUALLY INSPECT CATALYTIC CONVERTER
    EXHAUST LEAK
    ENGINE MECHANICAL PROBLEM
    UPSTREAM O2 SENSOR OLDER THAN DOWNSTREAM O2 SENSOR
    CATALYTIC CONVERTE

    There are two (2) cats per the Cailfornia emissions diagram. Nowhere under the hood does it say California or Federal emissions. The on and off key function shows p 0432 then done. Nothing else. The vehicle has 131,K mi. The Carfax says 1 o2 sensor replaced on 2/14/11 at 44,644 mi. and another replaced on 11/01/12 at 47,644 mi. tho it doesn't say if it was the same one or different ones.

    I believe cats do not die they are killed. A unresolved issue is the cause, a engine misfire a component not performing correctly those issues are waiting for a replacement cat and the cycle will repeat.

    The tool needed is a scanner. We look at the current sensors data- the pre cat o2 voltages compared to post cat readings. Is bank 1 and 2 readings close*. Is there a leak in exhaust, An engine condition- coolant loss, oil consumption, any codes?
    also readings such as ECT, the fuel trims,

    You did not list history prior issues, codes (misfires) head gasket, exhaust work, any replacement parts, MODIFICATIONS.


    SUGGESTION
    You will need a SCANNER to check that information at the least bank 2 pre and post cat voltages.
    The sensors changes YOU MENTION would have me zero in there first - The sensor is a messenger and the wrong sensor OR READINGS creates GIGO - they sensor should be JEEP or a NTK sensor AND specific to California emissions.
