Will these springs and shocks fit my setup?

Hi there looking to get so info on my suspension i have a 2010 jk I was given new jku shocks and springs with less than 5000 miles I have a TeraFlex 1.5” leveling kit to put in I was told I can also put the jku springs and shocks on with kit and will give me a little lift more than the 1.5” is this true or will that not fit in my Jeep?

 

Welcome! The springs and shocks should fit and since the JKU weighs more you might get what you're looking for. When you start disassembling check for differences in spring length before proceeding. TF markets a relatively inexpensive basic spring kit specifically for your JK to build from if the bigger kit is out of your range so check them out.

 

Thanks for the info! The teraFlex kit is a leveling kit I figured if I was going to get a little bit of a lift with the JKU suspension I didn’t really need to add much more I don’t really want to go to big as it is going to be driven regularly

 

When I install jku suspension and the TeraFlex leveling kit on my jk 2dr will I have to do any other modifications like trailing arms,exhaust, driveshaft etc..
I’m not thinking so cause it isn’t going up alot or am I wrong?

 

Anything below 2.5 inches, nothing needs to be changed. However, take note of the sway bar end link upon installation as these may need to be longer. The stock or factory links (shorties) are currently installed on your Wrangler. But with the leveling kit, you may need a new set of rear (longer) links installed on the front as we did.

Just wanted to add, if one is going to to do a mild or short lift, the factory shocks would be sufficient, Yet, anything around the 2.5 - 3 inch range or more, I would consider upgrading the shocks also, again which we did.

 

Personally I would avoid the polyurethane spacers kits as one could/should save their green and purchase a hard lift coil spring upgrade. Reasoning, is that even when one installs the spacer/pucks, one is still utilizing the factory coils installed on the jeep. these will sag/budge over time. Save your green and buy a hard lift, which is nothing more than a set of leveled coil springs, and a few relocation brackets. It's what we did and we gain approx 2.5 of lift. No pucks required.

 

Thank you for the info and absolutely agree with you on buying A hard lift/leveling kit I was given a brand new TeraFlex kit figured it couldn’t hurt to install in the meantime until I have the ability to buy a different kit also was given suspension out of a JKU which had less than 5000 miles I figured installing that would be a little bit more rugged and give me a little more height

 

I've heard of a lot of folks putting a JKU suspension on a JK. seems like it gets them about 1.5 inches of lift without doing anything besides swapping coil springs and sway bar links. Add in some decent shocks to top it all off and you'll have a sweet looking rig

 

As for adding the JKU coils etc to a JK, there should be no issues as posted by others above. At this point the 10th anniversary or the Recon coil setup would be idea as these have been tested on the current JK/JKU wrangler models. Adding the upgraded coils with the sway bar end links and new shocks was what we accomplished. Although the dealership install this set up for us, If one has the facilities and the tools they could manage an install like this.

A little late but I installed jkur springs and shocks on my jku and got a little bit of lift when both jeeps were 4 door. I added the leveling kit and it did very well on/off road. Nice thing about the pucks is you can reuse them once you upgrade the springs.
