Hi, I have a '76 CJ7 with a TH400 and a Quadratrac transfer case. I recently rebuilt the transmission and the transfer case with the help of books and google. One thing I messed up (rookie mistake) was leaving the torque converter bolted to the engine/flywheel and trying to reinstall everything with the torque converter still attached. It didn't work. Now nothing works. I think I need to drop the trans and unbolt the torque converter, If I were to replace the torque converter what should I replace it with?

No I don't need a lecture on the difference between stall speed, lockup speed, etc. and whatever else may be important, I just need to know what a stock converter is so I can replace it.

Welcome!. Far from a trans specialist but take the "broken" TC to Advance or Autozone and get the proper OEM replacement TC?
