Rattling sound after reaching operating temp

So I wanted to get some thoughts on this issue that's been happening since an accident I got into a couple months ago.

Lady hit the front driver side of the wrangler and was taken to a dealership (which im NEVER doing again) to get looked at and repaired.

After the 4th time looking at it after they "fixed" it everything seemed right finally until I got to my neighborhood and started hearing a rattling sound every time I started slowing down to come to a stop. I can't really hear it while accelerating, but when I start to hit the brakes and reach around 25mph that's when you can hear it. To me it sounds like it's coming from the drivers side where the lady hit

Also makes the noise even if I don't use the brakes and let it gradually slow down

Took it back to the body shop and told them about the issue. They looked at it and said my rear end axle shaft on the passenger side was bad, along with the rear main seal...

Insurance won't cover it so I started getting things ready and started taking the wheel off and there is no sign of a bad axle shaft

Things we already trouble shooted:

-Checked all the axles, all good.
- checked routers and brake pads, also all good.
Brake lines are kinds loose and the clips won't stay in the frame (so I'm waiting to get those in the mail and correct those)
-used the grease gun on the ball joints and tie rod areas .

I'm really not sure what else to look at

Today it sounded worse after driving for about 30 mins total got out of the jeep and started hearing another kind of rattling sound from underneath near the oil pain area.. checked fluids and those are great

What are your thoughts on what this could be ?

 

Any chance it's the cat heat shields?

I had to reweld the cat shields on my rig too. They made the same rattling noise doing the same thing. A couple little tack welds and it quit doing it

 

Fan shroud loose cracked

 

So I've done some digging around and seen some pretty cheap fixes for the heat shield. I'll knock that out this weekend and letcha know !

As for the fan, I'll check, but I think we eliminated the radiator so far, doesn't hurt to look

 

One inexpensive quick trick is to use stainless steel band clamp(s) around the loose heat shields to stop the rattling or until they fall off.
