    Howdy Folks,
Anyone have a cure for scratches to interior plastic trim around doors. Or paint that will stick and match in color.

Depending on the scratch, Ive had a little luck with a small heat gun.

I've tried that, and it just made things worse

Every scratch or abrasion small or major might need a different technique. Large deep gouges will require more extensive repair or replacement. Smaller ones could be lightly sanded smooth cleaned then refinished with paint designed for plastic/vinyl along with some adhesive primer. Used parts could be faded or dinged and need similar refinishing. Polishing compound could make it worse or hardly better depending upon the hard or soft plastic part. Post up some pics.

I have found a way to effectively deal with interior scratches on the plastic door panels. I tried a number of different products and the one that works best if "Color Back" which can be found at most parts stores. It did not eliminate the scratches completely, but it did reduce the severity so they no longer bother me. I can still see them but only if I look hard.
