Unless you are supercharging, or turbo charging, I think the OEM are fine

I agree with Chris. You need to increase you need for more fuel before you dump more fuel...I'm not very familiar with the different injectors out there but, If the 4 hole injector is rated for the same flow rate as a 1 hole injector I could see where it could create more atomization of the fuel thereby burning better, but I would think if you changed nothing else the benefit would not be much noticed if at all. If you do it come back and let us know what you come up with. Also get real numbers; before and after. Get something like this that Prerunner turned me on to: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005NLQAHS?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . It links your cars computer to your smart phone and gives you real time information 0-60 times etc. You have to download torquelite app to use it.

Supposedly smoother idle and better off the line throttle response.
    Is the cost worth it?
If you found the appropriate 4 hole injectors in a junk yard and could clean them yourself maybe.
There are guys going to 12 hole injectors..

This guy sells both, can't vouch for him or his products.

I agree with the rest of the comments. Stock motor = stock injectors. The Mopar injectors have worked in many of our motors for decades and up to 300 + thousands of miles.

4 hole injectors won't do much of anything, maybe a smoother idle, that's about it.
If there is an improvement, it's likely from changing out worn and dirty for rebuilt and clean.

    @Adam39601

Because of this thread and out of curiosity I purchased and installed a set of Ford 19#4 hole injectors from the folks at K Suspension in the link posted in this thread. The first set I received from them had one dead injector, with an email explaining the facts they quickly sent out another set, the next set arrived and worked just fine.
The results I see/feel with these injectors installed is
    1. a smoother idle
    2. quicker throttle response off idle and only idle
    3. absolutely no gain in power

After doing some research I've found that the stock injectors 53030778 are rated at 23.2 # with a flow rate of 243.8cc when tested with the fuel pressure of 49#
While the Ford 4 hole 0-280-155-710 which I received from KSuspension are rated at 18.25# with a flow rate of 191.8 when tested with a fuel pressure of 43 #. When the fuel pressure is jumped up to 49 # like our TJ's should run theses same injectors will produce very close to exactly the same pressures and flow rates of the stock injectors.
Going to run these injectors to see if there is any adverse effects until I can have the stock injectors rebuilt and flow tested.

IMO I wouldn't waste the money on the Ford 19# 4 hole injectors from any source, although I already did. Just take the stock injectors to a shop that has the ability to do a ultra sonic cleaning, rebuild and flow testing. It will be about the same price as the Ford 19# are selling for and much cheaper than buying a set of Siemens Deka 53030778.

    Hope this helps

UPDATE: After a highway run in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, a route that I normally run, I've noticed that the Ford 0-280-155-710 19# 4 hole injectors actually reduce upper throttle range performance. The TJ wouldn't pull hills at the same speed as it would with the stock injectors This leads me to believe that they are causing a lean run condition.

I figured I would through my 2 cents in for what it’s worth. I have built many Jeep 4.0 motors over the years in my shop from stock to stroker and all in between. I have an 06 tj myself and run ford 22lb 4 hole injectors with that said I’ve noticed it’s smoother and about 2-3 mpg in stock form also seat of the pants power gains at 3/4 plus throttle. I have the advantage of watching fuel trims among other things on a snap-on scan tool while driving. I have no dyno run to back up any such power gains but I put these in all the EV6 style motors I have built with great results. Check out RockAuto some time they have great prices for just about everything.

A fuel injector gives an increase of 2-3 MPG ????

If that is true, wonder why the engineers at Chrysler didn't install these to meet and exceed the federal emission requirements also would have been a great selling point for the TJ to get 20+/- mpg, after almost a decade of 15-17MPG

it seems that no matter what we do with gas and air delivery, the computer will attempt to maintain the designed air fuel ratio. same discussion goes on in hummer forums.

Hey guys just to tack on, I also installed the K-suspension injectors and have had no issues as of yet.
I made a video where I try to determine if they improved my engines performance through a some tests.
my data shows that they improved my jeep by a small amount, trust my data or don't but I hope you enjoy the video:

Just wanted to see if anyone had done any such updates on this? It’s been almost 2 years . I have found another injector that I’m going to try to see if it makes anymore difference but I have no date as of now.

My engine requires 24 lb injectors and I use the 4 hole Ford Mustang brand. I'm just now putting my Stroker back in it after having Golen Engines redo it. Chad installed a custom grind Comp Cams 68-236-4 with a 506 lift and mid 200s duration with a power curve from 800 - 5200 rpms. With a high flow head, 63 mm throttle body and totally unrestricted exhaust the fuel injectors are mandatory. Chad says that even with a 9.5:1 compression I can still use regular gas. I'll let you know about the mileage.

Nice! I am curious what kinda mpg you will see. I have a buddy that build a very modified stroker (285 crank hp) and he runs 24# 4l8e ford injectors. After 6 months on the road he reports 17 mpg which isn’t bad considering he’s on 33” tires and 4.11 gears. I have been wanting to do a stroker build myself but my 4.0 won’t die, thanks amsoil lol

Without the cold air intake, header, 63 mm throttle body and straight flow exhaust, 35" tires and 4.88 positrac gears,

The xj which is the one I’ve done a lot to has a 3 inch lift some spacers in the front a custom head seven hole injectors 62mm Throttlebody with spacer A bunch of other little stuff. The TJ is heavily factory upgraded custom order brand new with a Dana 60 Front and rear basically the nicest sport we could get new a long time ago. The CJ has a fully restored diesel conversion
I recently started the 2000 XJ Project It’s a Jeep I’ve had for several years now and it had its last omissions test . So I thought I’d have some fun she was also running like crap at 300,000 miles. For starters we replaced the head stripped her down the block cleaned everything built back up from the rings. After that I decided to do a couple upgrades when I noticed my injectors were not in the best shape put in the seven hole 24 pound injectors. Which definitely made a nicer one and keep mine this is after new head then not noticing much for power difference I did the 62 mm Throttlebody with the spacer and that seems to Have unleashed the beast I would strongly recommend that if you’re going to do the injectors to the throttlebody as well
