    Im sure most everyone has seen the "race radios" that are on the market pre-programmed with "off road" frequencies. Those off road/race frequencies require a license and in case you have contemplated getting those type of radios here is a list of some of the frequencies they come with and the organizations you may be intefering with.

    1 WTHRMN 151.625

    2701 Licensed users. Including: Union Pacific, FCA US, Subaru, University of Oklahoma, NM State University, BP, Exxon, Boeing, Vertex standard (Yaesu ham radios), UPS


    2 BFGRLY 151.715

    1243 Licensed users. Including: Many school districts, City/State agencies, McDonalds, and various businesses.


    3 BAJAPTS 154.980

    644 License users. Including: State, City, County, Police and Fire for States all over the country.


    4 NETWORK 151.685

    1232 Licensed users. Including: American Airlines, School districts and Universities, Costco, fast food restaurants.


    5 CHECKRS 151.925

    1178 License users. Including: Verizon, Haliburton, Hospitals, City/State, Schools/Colleges, various businesses.

    No issues here. License is required for certain frequencies. Saw that in another post by @Prerunner1982. Was considering it anyway. Alot of Clubs and offroad wheeling events require you to have some sort of 2 way radio. Just a heads up to other members looking to wheel with clubs and Jeep Jamboree events.

    I didn't post this specifically in regards to the prize, got into a conversation on another forum and thought it was good info. Besides I spent time putting the info together I had to post it to make me feel like my time was well spent. Lol

    Out here, in AZ, most of us are making the switch to FM, so I think this is fantastic stuff!

    I did think it was cool that the Denali Off road club had a license for 151.505 Mhz for their club to use.
