    Welcome! To a certain extent JKs are hand assembled along with robotics. Either the robots or humans were spazzing that day or shift and were overzealous with metal seam sealant. That neatly applied section appears robotic. Choose to ignore or chisel it out to repaint

    I think that is also used to come combat heat to. I noticed when I pulled my front carpet that it is there around the transmission hump and when I was doing research about bed lining the interior it was mentioned being there for heat if I recall.
