    i have a slight loss and want to see it accurately with concerns about head gasket or cracked 331 head. this strip of styrofoam floats and i watch a line made with a pen where it hits the opening.water gage.jpg
    oh,i added a screw to the bottom. its like a fishing float,stays upright.

    so in a month it dropped appx 1/8 inch. normal?

    It all depends on the temperature. Is the temp the same each time you check? Ive added about 1/3 gallon total, in 4 years, so youre bound to loose some, one way or another I think.

    My brown one is a Rescue doggo. Lab/Ridgeback/Pit. She LOVES the water. No mods to her, 'cept a cute collar. :)
