I ordered some poly-rubber straps for my hood latches. The weatherman said it was going to hit 73 today and since my original straps were cracking I switched them out today! I tried to latch them and cracked the bracket and freaked out. Ran up to the local Jeep dealership and paid $65.00 for one hood latch, yes that's right...one. Put the one side on and that night went on Fleabay and bought a pair of OEM latches for $45.00

Nice Looking Winch !! I have one picked out at Extreme Terrain Web site here... http://www.extremeterrain.com/barricade-hd-fullwidth-jk-j102348.html

item J106786 9500 LB rated Smittybilt for $299.99 to go with the Full width Barricade Trail Force Bumper J102348 $499.99. Some of my cash just went out on another project for my dad so might be a week away now to ordering them.

    Hello

New to the forum. Got the unlimited Sahara last June and have been adding things a little at a time. First was the tires and rims and air intake and Corsa exhaust then the Light bar and halo lights were next. Then the kc lights and blue halo fog lights and bull bar next also added new rocker switches on the inside. Roof rack and led rear lights and blinker/ side markers next. Door stops next to have doors work like a car so they don't close on you when parked on a hill. The last project was a 9 inch Alpine restyle system. Hopefully I'll be getting the dual battery system next. Oh forgot about the warn winch

Dude. Check NY motor vehicle laws. You may be able to run without your front plate. NJ does not require a front plate. So I don't use mine. Cleans up your Jeep face.

Took fenders off and did a little sanding. Painted them with bed liner. Then installed side bars off. Doing a little at a time.

Hey jk Bob. I live in nj and the last I checked they do require 2 license plates. They've tried a few times to pass a new law not requiring 2 but as of today you need two plates. Whenever you buy new or lease you get two plates. Is there another law I'm not aware of?

    Thanks

    Doug

    Hey Doug,
    Nice JKU by the way.
The last I heard. And i did look into it. If it has nothing to do with "Safety" of the vehicle. They can't fail you at inspection or for getting pulled over. The first thing they look at is your inspection sticker. Their not looking at your plate. Reason to pull you over obviously is a bad sticker. And they go from there.

Law is. If it has nothing to do with the safety of the vehicle. You can run one plate. And I did take my XJ thru minus a plate. And they didn't say a word. But they failed me for a cracked side view. Just saying. And that was numerous years ago. Ran my JK thru. Minus one plate. And they didnt say a word. Just slapped a new sticker on it.

Another Jersey Jeeper. Where you at Doug? I'm in Ocean County. . Would be cool to run other trails you might run.
