    Hey there everyone!
Forum creeper- first time poster. Figured it's about time to say "Hi" and seek knowledgeable opinions before deciding on my first Wrangler!
Here's where I'm at so far- Leaning heavy tword the soft tops since its just gonna be me to mess with top, and I know I'll love having it open to the sun and wind (and rain!). I do (currently) reside in central Ohio, but I'm not too concerned with heat/A.C. since my past vehicles had neither. It will be my everyday vehicle but average commute to work is never over 15-20m and I don't do highway trips too often. I only have fur-kids on most trips with me, so I'm choosing 2 door. As for body type/model- I'm clueless. But I am extremely interested in getting it out and having dirty fun with it and some new Jeepy friends! ;)
Any input on my future favorite vehicle will be extremely welcomed!

Welcome! Not sure what fur-kids mean but if that's any kids then the 2dr won't be ideal. The 2dr is my favorite Jeep for what I expect of a Wrangler.

Fur-kids are dogs, cats, or really hairy children.

Along those lines. I see you met aggrex. Yeah, he's one of our well known members. And if you give him an opening, he will take advantage of it. Example. "Fur-kids". Which I commend him on. Sorry to say this. But I'm happy he finally turned attention towards you.....and not me for once. :yay:

    Welcome. You'll have fun here.

She loves her puppy. And I love my Mom.

Have to say this. It's not always about our Jeep issues. It's about us....and our lives, and what trails we run. Lol. It's about us, as a forum, friends.

Yea your going to need a four door with a dog of the size you have the small one shouldnt be a problem getting it in, all you have to do is throw it through the back window while its down that dog is small but the big dog you dont want to have to wrestle him in the back seat of a two door. That looks like it would be a full time job you better pack a lunch to do that lol..

For the record I was kidding about the idea of throwing that small dog threw the window to get him in the jeep. I know some people can be offended by stuff like that lol..But anyway I am glad your getting a jeep. You might want to look into a 4dr.

I got the 2 door because basically the Jeep would be for ONLY me and my GSD (hubby and other dog can stay home ). So here's how we do it: dog goes in passenger side. He puts his front paws up, I lift his back end and he walks in. He's 12 and he needs the help. But even if your dog is young they may not jump in on their own because the opening is narrow. To get out, he prefers to come over the side, which I guess would be a pain if you have the soft top on. I put my arms out, he leans, out we go. He's 75lbs. but long & lean so he's easy to carry.

By the way, I shopped around A LOT for a sturdy enough harness for an open-top vehicle and found the Kurgo products to be the best. Metal buckles, crash-tested.
