My wife didn't like my 79 CJ5 at all. It didn't have A/C, the cage didn't cover the rear seat, it ran rich and smelled like gas, the leaf spring suspension and short wheel base led to a bumpy ride and the passenger door had a tendency to open unexpectedly. We have a 2 year old and her 3 year old cousin and uncle got to go play in his Jeep but the CJ wasnt up to snuff to allow my wife to let me take our daughter out as well.

So I sold it and got a TJ. It fixes just about all of her concerns. So now I get to go play and bring my daughter! Our first run was the back way to Crown King. She had a great time!

The mods have already begun! I have a pair of D30/35 locked 4.88 chromoly axles waiting to go under it and a Dirt Worx tire carrier bumper on order. I added a CB, steering box skid, im moving the pods to the A-pillar, new stereo(bonus the stock sub now works with a properly wired head unit), seat covers, under seat lock box, and more :)

Will do. It was rougher this past trip than anytime I've done it previously

I think it's been 10 years since I've been up there.
