I have an 89 yj 2.5l 5sp. I was wiring up a light bar and I screwed up and put power to the ground. It melted wires behind the dash. The most affected wire was the ground to the wiper motor. I have replaced/repaired all that I could see, now I have crank but no start. Fuses appear to be fine. Any suggestions for a direction. TIA

You may have taken out the engine control unit with that exercise.

Barring more serious damage, I'd start testing each fuse in the box(s). Getting good crank is decent sign but getting her to run and stay running is key so fingers crossed against an ECU issue.
