Hi, I’m looking forward to participating in the forum as a total Jeep newbie. I’m an old guy who has off roaded all my life as far away as the wilds of far northern Canada. I’ve driven most 4x4 vehicles, except maybe a Mercedes G wagon, including Jeep’s. My current daily driver is moderately modded 4 Runner Off Road. I bought this Jeep to have a project vehicle to work on over the long Canadian winter here in Canada, when there’s no place to go because of covid.

Thanks for reminding me to post a photo. The Jeep’s on jack stands now and will probably be there until spring. It’s a basic, stock, unmolested 2011 with 75k km. It’s only OEM option was an am/fm radio, lol, which is one of its attributes for me. It will keep me physically distanced as covid gets worse up here in Canada.

Thanks for asking, aggrex. Lots of service, fluid changes, brakes, new wheels/tires, some rubicon shocks/springs all around, but the first job will be to needle gun and wire wheel off the rust underneath and paint it with POR 15 semi gloss black. Nothing grandiose, just routine maintenance, but at a nice slow pace, lol. This Jeep would be a good platform for a trail rig, but I’ve already got a good one. This Jeep will be mainly for cruising around our small town to the grocery store, post office, and hardware store with the top and doors off in the summer. You could call it a mall crawler if we lived in the big city, but in our small town we don’t have any malls, lol.

So true LYFZGOOD! This is a small town grocery getter, lol. My true trail vehicle is a pretty worthy daily driver. This little Jeep would never be able to compete with it on or off road. Hint: it’s a Toyota, lol. But it’s still a great vehicle with a high fun factor for groceries and golf clubs.
