    Hello all,

I’m currently conducting a ground up resto on a1984 CJ7 base model, mostly stock, but adding a few extra features like extra protection from rust, tach, clock, 12v power outlets, USB outlets, etc-etc. Painted it last month (June 2020) and now putting it back together.

If anyone in Fort Collins / NoCO has a stock CJ7, I’d love to get some pictures for rebuild reference and, of course, to help each other out with Jeep stuff. I have four different manuals including the factory service manual so shoot me a message if you need some official info.

    Matt!

Welcome to the forum, I would think a stock Jeep CJ would be quite rare, although bring in the most on a return. From my experience, a disappointing feature on the CJ design was using the metal frame and body as an electrical ground connection, as steel makes for a poor conductor. Best of luck with your project.

Thank you for the warm welcome. It’s been an often frustrating journey up to this point, but has also had it’s share of satisfaction and pride. Finally!- I think the end is in sight even if it isn’t as close as I desire. Thanks again. -Matt!
