93 ZJ Shakes Above 65 Mph

    Here lately my ZJ has been shaking if I drive between 65-70 mph. The steering wheel doesn't shake, just the vehicle. My two guesses are the bad front passenger wheel that needs replaced but is stuck, and/or my motor mounts, they're said to be shot and need to be replaced...

    Need to get that wheel off to eliminate a few variables. Driving the vehicle with a bad shake could cause additional wear on other suspension parts.

    Check your front U Joints....ball joints.....any suspension component could be the issue. Bushings tend to rot out on 20 something year old vehicles. I'd start there dude.

    Not a bad video @TinyInkognegroT . Dude. But the first 10 seconds I see bushing issues. The control arms are one. And the tie rod links are the other. Look at the tie rod link bushing. They should not be split and dried. Any and all bushings at this point are questionable.
    My GF has a 98. And when I saw her suspension. We replaced the tie rod links, sway bar bushings, front and back. And in the process of replacing the isolaters and control arm bushings.
    Just the tie rod links and sway bar bushings made a huge difference.

    Maybe you should start there. Rugged Ridge, Skyjacker come to mind. But I know several companies make replacement polyurethane bushing kits.

    Just a heads up. If the tie rod or either the drag link or track bar are bent. The bushings will be a bitch to replace.

    The shaking was from the tire that on was stuck on it. I ended up scalping it on the highway, once I got the tire changed, the shaking stopped.PHOTO_20191006_175511.jpg

    Good thing you weren't speeding when that tire gave up staying together...

    I was doing about 65 miles mph lol the rubber that scalped off slapped my passenger headlight and turn signal so I need to replace those but they still work for the time being

    Holy crap dude......
    You have any idea how lucky you were? Although the tire was an issue. I still feel you need to look at bad bushings. A 20 plus year old vehicle. Your bushings are definitely suspect.
