I thought I had a rear main seal leak but turns out the oil pressure sending unit is cracked and faulty and leaking a lot of oil from my engine, causing it to run down the back the engine pan, making it easy to be mistaken for a rear main seal leak. Here's a video of mine with the engine running and it puking out oil.

Good catch, I would think that the o.p. sending unit is coming apart and needs replacing.

Heck of a lot easier than the rear main seal

Replaced the oil pressure sending unit and no more oil leak. I also changed the oil and filter and added Lucas oil stabilizer, 3.5 qts of high mileage 10w-40 and 1 quart of Lucas.

Yeah the oil was real black and sluggish. My oil pressure gauge does read 80 psi but I don't have a check oil light on and the engine doesn't seem to be running hard

Should I worry about the oil gauge reading 80 ?
