horn and buttons on steering wheel not working, I know some of you guys have knowledge of this and would like to hear your comment.

 

My first guess as any electrical item not working would be the ground circut somehow is not complete. If it is a wire connection break, look for the black wire. There also could be corrosion, or even an issue cause by some previous work in that area. You could check the fuse box first, then start looking underneath the steering wheel. When you do start working with the electronics of your vehicle a wiring diagram can be helpful so you can follow the color coding to see where every thing is. Unfortunately, the newer the vehicle, the more of a complex system it is. Good Luck!

 

Start with the basics like checking the fuses for the circuit(s), use a multimeter checking for voltage, test the horn directly, etc. Which steering wheel buttons? (cruise, radio control, blue tooth etc)

 

None of the buttons work, horn, cruse control, radio control, blue tooth, menu etc. Thanks for looking aggrex.

 

Could be the clock spring, google clock spring and see if that matches your issue

 

The clock spring has just been replaced on the 8th but still not working. Thanks DouggieDoodle

 

Great suggestion as I was reserving the infamous clock spring crap til later and hoping for something simpler wrong LOL
