Ok the title isnt clear but what to call it..? Id like an oil filter bracket/boss/mount to change the filter angle from horizontal to more vertical on my '07 ck to help prevent dry startup which over time leads to damaged engine and oiling issues on these engines around 180k +- miles.
Anyone know where to find such a mount? Who makes them?
I know the filters are supposed to have ck valving but let it sit awhile and you will hear dry start rattle.

Jeep Cherokee XJs used an oil filter adapter to change the angle and orientation of the filter.
I do not see anything like that for the 3.8 but do find oil filter relocation kits.

I'm not convinced relocating the oil filter will produce the benefit you're looking for. Perhaps switch to a synthetic oil. Summit doesn't list a relocation kit for the '07 JK and most of the reviews stated either leaks or ease of oil filter changes. For example on a 94K Toyota I switched to synthetic oil which flows better on cold winter starts and doesn't leak or burn at 170K with a horizontal oil filter placement.

Engine and Jeep at 82K, using a full synthetic. At times it can be my daily driver but not work transportation. As stated before, after sitting unused a few days it rattles on startup and many of these engines have a 150-180k mile oiling history (non oem service reports - of course). Just being preemptive and if I can, why not?
Does anyone have mechanical drawings of the oil boss on the block? I could fab my own mount.

I'm not sure that that is related to the oil filters orientation.
