4wheel parts

Has anyone used 4wheel parts to regear? Did they do a good job and roughly how much was it?

 

I have not but my buddy has, been 3 years no issues. About $1600 if I recall correctly. Seems they run a regear special every year for around $1200.

I hear they are hit and miss around the country, I'd ask some of your local peeps about your store.

Personally I used a 4x4 shop that came highly recommend, paid about $1800 with all new seals. Tulsa, OK

 

Hey Tulsa ain't to far to drive for quality workmanship . 1800 is more than I can afford till summer then probably too busy to drive up there lol

 

Zeroing in on a reputable competent install makes the $1800 doable for me. As mentioned before consider locker/lsd to consolidate expenses while they are in there.

 

He qouted me 1895 for 4.56 gears and about another 6-700 for locker in the front

 

Then I guess I will need a ARB compressor plus another battery and isolator

 

It's getting repainted this summer also

 

Generally you don't need additional batteries to run the compressor for the ARB locker. Some ARB versions use a small manifold to provide more consistent air pressure for this application.

 

Well have winch lighting etc may as well do the dual batt set up now this Jeep will not be reconizable in September...... Did I mention I am about to have it paid off? Lol

Lol thank aggrex it's been a long 4.5 years 3 more and it's mine wooot wooot I'm 56 with 2 grown boys wanted a Jeep since my cousin got a cj when I was 16
