    Dana 30 found upfront in all non-rubi but they are totally functional....just use it till there's an issue or you break it from abuse or larger tires. But if you have the dough don't hesitate and make it go away and break something more spendy.

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    Dana 30 is the axle. 3.73 is the gear ratio between the ring gear and the pinion gear.

    I am not going to rock climb. I have been to Moab and other places out west. The widow maker a couple time in the 80's. So what is the best ratio for mid range off roading like here in PA. Renagade I had always felt like it was about to turn over in sand and tires were mud tires about 9 inches wide back then. Slicks were wider if I am remembering correctly.

    3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
    I tool around here in the north central Ohio area. I got 35's and 4.56 gears in my rig. I shoulda went with 4.88's and been smart about it. I do have the sluggish 3.8 liter V6 tho. But it still turns the 35's and slings mud like crazy. You can still have some serious fun in a stock rig for a while. That's how I did it for a couple years before I decided to start upgrading

    Your gear ratio will depend on your tire size. The 3.73 is a decent ratio for stock tires. I ran 3.73 (stock) for a long time with 37s. In 4wd low offroad it was okay and did everything I asked it to, but I really suffered on the highway.

    I'm still seeing brand new 2018 JK's for sale on the lots. If you dont have to have the latest and greatest stuff you might be able to score a 2018 for a sweet deal.

    I would love a 2018 but I will not be in the market to buy until last this year, December or first on next year. I have to pay off my wife's car first. So that is why i am thinking 2019 in 2020? How wide of a tire can you put on factory steel wheels? Oh here is another question, "If i buy a soft top and then get a hard top will the wiring be there for all the lights on the hard top?
