That’s what I would use. The 5.3 is a great motor and is real easy to swap with.

Is this an exercise in mental "masturbation " lets use a vette engine, a 2.8 diesel,a mini van, a ford PU, a 5.3
Or serious search for info and ideas?

offgrid is the only helpful post....#13 serious issue about swaps

GM engine swap info, but it uses the GM transmission: http://www.rpmextreme.com/page/4/jeep-jk-ls-engine-swaps.aspx
    http://www.rpmextreme.com/Product/237/Ready-to-Run-Repower-Packages.aspx
But you can adapt a GM trans to a Jeep tcase.
Would need both computers and a wiring harness.

This Hemi swap kit is much cheaper (relative to the LS kit I linked above) but you would have to account for the cost of the engine. The best I can tell it uses the stock Jeep transmission, which is a plus.

Any other leaky or wet oil areas. Perhaps grab that vette engine, sell it to someone that can use it and pick up another minivan 3.8 cough cough

I honestly hate this 3.8 tho lol but good idea and no haven’t seen any other wet spots just a small spot on side of oilpan but it looks so old that idk if it would have been leaking that bad.

@Awrench has a unique style but good tips and questions....perhaps some answers to his questions (#30) can point you to the issue.

Sorry didn’t see this from you @Awrench.

86,920 as of this very moment.
Did burn a qt every 1k now after I replaced the pcv valve it burns about a half qt I’m 6-700 miles.
    Gtx full Synthetic 5w-20
And as for codes just the misfire but it went away. No aftermarket bs on engine
