JKs hold their value well and the selling price usually is negotiable and if not there are plenty more. The mileage might be considered a tad high but it's 3+ years old probably daily driven which tends to add up. There are other considerations besides mileage when considering a used vehicle. Take your time as there are many to choose from.

You can’t get a new special order Jeep unlimited for 24k if it had any options at all. The base price for a no option 2 wheel drive is 24k

Only considering this specific Jeep as the dealer offered me a trade in amount for my tacoma that is 3k more than I paid for it. So I’d be getting the Jeep for under 16k

Sometimes they work the #s from the backend rather than the front end. Now that you got the backend #s assuming the JKU checks out negotiate the best #s after doing some research on similar JKUs in your area.

24k out the door? Tax, title etc etc. Brand new zero miles? . I paid 24k for my 16 JK with 4k on the odometer. That's 24k out the door. Tax, title, trade in, etc. 24 out the door for a 17 jku.off the line. I find that kinda hard to believe. But....whatever. :notsure:
Bottom line @fiesta346. Find a Jeep you like. Get a car fax and as much history on it as you can. And go from there. Don't base your decision based on others opinions on a Jeep they have not seen. That's all I'm sayin dude. Good luck. And post up pics. We like Jeep Porn. Loll.

It's pointless to try and explain anything to you people. It cost us $24,698 for a brand new special order 2017 jeep wrangler unlimited soft top, factory half doors and zero options. This threat isn't about how we came across a great deal, it's about helping fiesta46 making a deal they wont regret.

Ya mean....pointless to explain anything to me.....dont ya?? Don't drag the rest of the forums members into this. Your completely missing my point. $24, 698 for a JKU "out the door"? Tax, title, etc etc. .As you put it...."special order" And now you mention no options. Hello......:notsure:. So based on the highest tax rate in the countey. You paid about 22.5K for a JKU fresh off the line. Again....I find that very hard to believe. Again....whatever.

I really like that JKU you are looking at. At first glance the price seems to be in line for a dealer (a bit high with that mileage) would charge in my region.

That was my initial reaction. As I went through the pics and saw it had crank windows and it is generally a pretty bare bones Willys model. I would have guessed at that asking price it had Nav, power windows, keyless entry, etc. I'm guessing that price should be a few grand lower than that - even at a dealership. I couldn't say if it was "abused" from the pics, it looked like it could just be a daily driver, but I would look around more.

If you love that one, I'd work hard on that price and have them throw in an extended warranty - since you are having second thoughts about the 50k miles. But again, I would do a lot more searching, besides, your Tacoma has great resale - that's not the only dealer that will offer your good money for it.

I just sold my dads 2012 jku Sahara with 100k miles for 25k. They hold their value. I don’t think 50 is too much, I do highly suggest having someone look at it before you purchase.

Took it for a test drive and got more vehicle history reports. Also got the price down to 27k. With my trade in which was the highest offer I’ve got the Jeep out the door is under 15K. What really threw me a curveball was no power locking doors . it does have a remote start. Also to my knowledge the recalls have been addressed.

The bare bones - no power windows and locks would get to me/annoy me real quick. Just for shit's and giggles, find another wrangler at another dealership and compare apples-to-apples price comparisons and trade in value comparisons. Just a thought.

For me the lack of PW/PL can be a big deal as a DD, affect future resale value and should be reflected on the present value. The 4dr JKU opened up a new niche market for the Wrangler that is big and these new buyers want SUV-like amenities. Be sure to look at other JKU examples and make sure your getting the best deal from both ends.

Just a thought. If you ever decide to go "naked". Meaning topless and doorless. Your not gonna wanna have PW/PL. Makes it a much bigger pain in the ass to get the doors off. Yes...may hurt resale value. It how soon do you think your gonna sell it.:notsure:.

When i bought my JK. Honestly, was kinda disappointed it didn't have both. But I got use to it within a week. Don't miss'em at all.

It's gotta hurt resale though - most fat Americans want their power accessories!

It probably takes me an extra minute to disconnect all four wiring harnesses to take off my doors (which I only get to do twice a year). But that one time my kid leaves a random non-power window down (or up, depending on this hypothetical situation) it will force me to turn into a contortionist and require a visit to a chiropractor to get that damned window in line with the rest of them. Just my opinion. But like @JKBob 25 said, probably something you'd get used to pretty quick.

My new '89 $8995 YJ hardtop had no a/c PW/PL but it did have front vent windows. Now that was a hoot driving doorless topless and unplugged. Just wipe the vinyl seats down and drive away. Life was so simple then when we were young. So if priced right I think it could work okay on the 2dr

My first Wrangler was a 1997 S. No a/c, no power, 5 spd 4 cyl. Half doors with zip Windows. No radio. Hell, I can't think of any options. Moss green/spice top. Paid $17k. My first new car.

A guy I was in the Navy with had a 89. I don't think he EVER put his top up. Ah the memories of being at an Army school in Anniston Alabama getting that thing BEYOND stuck on logging roads in the forest...

Got to test drive it again today solo no sales man.
The coolant resovior was damn near empty upon looking under the hood. Also almost smelt like it was burning coolant. Didn’t appear to be leaking or dripping from underneath. The best they’ll do is 27,600. Since they’re a ford place no one seemed to know about if any manufacture warranty and or power train . They wanted to sale me some ford warranty (which seemed Strange )

Time to take a step back get some fresh air and expand the search. At your price point or a bit more the range of better equipped JKs are out there. A Ford warranty is no deal maker nor is the negligent coolant which may have an underlying issue.
