Took it off roading and now there is a knock coming from the front end whenever the suspension is flexed. None of the joints seem to have any play... not very mechanically inclined. Any tips on what it might be and how to check

Welcome to the site! I would start with checking to make sure nothing is loose, or looks broken. Might want to have a friend assist with listening for the location the sound is coming from.

Yes tried that nothing looks bent or out of place. But it's a pretty aggressive knock, you can feel it in the floor board.

I would get a friend to help find the location of the sound. Try to flex it with them outside near the front to identify the location.

Welcome! Hope you practiced tread lightly on the trail. The suspension is tough but driving hard and quick can damage components. Flex the suspension with a helper as chris4x4 described and inspect suspension parts (tie rod>drag link>etc) for looseness because looks can be deceiving. Shock mounts or control arm bolts or ball joints could be worn/loose for example. All a part of jeepin....break>replace>break again...the upgrade method

It was the passenger sway bar end link.
