2008 JEEP JK X UNLIMITED. throwing a No Fuses code on dash panel? Paid for out of warranty. definitely don't want to go to dealership. they cost an arm, leg, if you get my drift. What could cause this code? Their are no good manuals out there for my jeep with information for the do it yourself repair person. Which I have been able to do almost all of my repairs myself, this one has me a bit stumped. Any suggestions?

There are, as always, a few different things which can cause this error. It seems like the most likely cause is corrosion in the IOD (ignition off draw) fuse contacts in the fusebox under the hood.
Sometimes all you need to do is remove and re-seat the fuse. Of course, if it is blown you need to replace it but, then you may also need to look for a short somewhere. Just try removal and re-seat first. See photos:

thanks so much, that I will do. I had to change out my throw out bearings, and found a bad wire to my battery harness and then the evap tube had a hole in it. Had a fire trap under my butt. Finally after 5 months of weekends only I have her back together, and she throws this code. I am only use to working on the old jeeps without computers, not these new brain type models.

Understand that the wire you speak of being broken, can also cause this if it is one supplying power to the computer. That fuse, when pulled, essentially disconnects the battery from the computer while the key is off.

    Good luck and Wheel Safe!!

I was just the positive wire shield that was burnt through. It has been repaired. She has been fighting me the whole way. I am just finally glad I can start driving her. I'm tired of driving the Tacoma feels like a family car, I want Jeep ride. Thanks for the support. I have to run work calls got to go get somebodies stuff, and usually they don't like that. Crime doesn't pay.

Yes, she is finally running after 5 months in the geerage. She is now back to my every day driver. Yippee!!! Now I can get back to putting the money I save into upgrading her into what I want her to look like, bad and mean. Thanks for all your help, I did unplug and plug back in all the fuses. It did seem to be that J16 fuse for the ignition. Once again thanks so much. I have to run, work is very demanding. Only get to stop once in a while.

Me too. I was getting scared that I would have to take her to Jeep. In the beginning I did, they gave me a quote of $5,000 for repair of throw out bearings. That is when I ran. With all that I did it only cost me about $2,000. Have an awesome day.

I know this thread's kinda old but thought I would give it a shot - it appears my IOD fuse is having issues but It doesn't seem to want to come out! I was thinking I had ti pry the fuse out if the case it is in but now I'm not so sure - how did your IOD come out?

Welcome @eton ! I have no reason to touch mine but on the picture (post#3) the two small white tabs along the edge could be pushed down and the fuse should be accessible.

As with any fuse test it and clean the contacts

Those tabs do hold in the actual fuse - you have to unhinge the white container and once thats out you depress the tabs to get the fuse out - that one wasn't the problem after all - there's another iod fuse - not #26 that I've seen in other posts - at any rate got rid of the nofuse error for now -
