I have a twin stick Dana T18 transfer case and I'm trying to figure out what it's worth?
    Any idea?

Not much to me, but somebody else maybe. Really limited on what it can be used in. Cool thing about them is that you can run a PTO winch off of them. I paid $80 for my last Dana 300 (3rd gen dana18) in unknown condition and it came with a twin stick. Changed the fluids and replaced the seals and all was good.

Well I've been searching the web and if offgrid found a transfer for $80 then he got a smoking deal. I wouldn't let this transfer go for $80 I'm not sure why you say really limited in what it can be used on. Really? Novak makes all kinds of adapters and I was told that the T18 was a well built unit and it was used in several 4x4 including jeep & ford unless my I'm not reading what I have found on the internet correctly.

Now Chris4x4 you asked for pictures. I took these this morning and I have yet to clean it up so it's covered in years of dust but here's a couple of pictures. I have no idea how many miles on it but let's face it the older jeeps never got a ton of miles on them. I'm not going to give this thing away as I know there has to be someone out there interested in a twin stick transfer. I found just the shift sticks and they wanted $168.00transfer 00.jpg transfer 01.jpg

You are correct in everything you say. The D18 is an amazing Tcase and is bullet proof. The issue with Novak adapters is cost. I looked at that route and by the time I got my Dana20 to work it was just not cost feasible. Someone else might say it is worth the cost. The reason I got my Dana 300 so cheap was because the guy I bought it from bought it from someone else and never used it. He thought it was trashed and needed rebuilt. It didn't. I had 1100 in upgrades on my dana20 low gear and twin stick plus rebuilt. I sold it for $550.

Ok so that gives me a good idea of what I can start at. I need to clean it up but all the gears are in excellent shape. It does not need to be rebuilt. Thanks for the reponse.

Respectfully, how can you assume that it does not need to be rebuilt? It is missing the rear case cap.
The G503 ww2 jeep site would be a good place to offer it.Good luck w the sale.

Ralmoho have you ever rebuilt a transfer case or stick shift transmission? I seriously doubt you have or you would not have proposed your question how I can assume it doesn’t need to be rebuilt. When you take a broken transfer or stick shift how does the rebuilder determine the problem? If you can rebuild one you know how. You can physically do a bench test and run through the shifts and see when something is wrong. You started with respectfully but I didn’t start the post to have someone question my skills. I was trying to determine what people thought it was worth. So I think I respectfully answered your question.

Ok....my thought. No reason to apologize dude. The way I read it. You were kinda attached by a members first post. Hello Ralmoho. Might want to post in the new member section, intro yourself, and your experience in rebuilds such as this. Just my thoughts. Your first post, the way I see it. You questioned a members knowledge concerning this post. Not to mention. That's not what his original was about.

Just saying. You might wanna intro yourself and your experience before you question another member.:).
Either way... Welcome to the forum.
