Great looking forum, thanks for having me. I drive a white 2013 JKU 6-speed and really enjoy the DIY aspects of owning a Jeep. I am an electrician by trade so I do a fair amount of electrical type modifications. Started with H4 headlight with a wiring harness, 50” lightbar, fulltime rear facing camera and rear view monitor, Bussman sPod style auxiliary power panel. In the planning/pricing phase of a lift, tire/wheel upgrade, and re-gear that I am hoping to start right after the first of the year.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys.

It is more naked now, that was a couple of days after I sold my factory soft top and replaced it with the Trektop NX. Had to throw it on just to see how the fit was.

I really like that Trektop NX. Quadratec has their version. The Adventure Top S. What's your thoughts and opinions on the Best Top? For the extra couple bucks. I may go with theirs. Their new zipper less top has me intrigued. Looks really nice.

The top is really nice, it has a great fit and I love the racer back style. I have only had the sides/back on for a very short time. I wanted to make sure that everything fit good but I purchased it in the summer so they came off with the doors about a week after installing it. I am planning to use it all winter instead of my hard top just to make sure there are no issues that require warranty claims. I have a bracket designed that will relocate my spare up and at an angle to match the back slant. If it works out I might relocate my LP to the tire carrier.

Small world, I lived in Eugene most of my life. Live just outside of Leaburg.

Up at the lake? I work at the dam there at the lake. Between there and the power plant near the town of Leaburg

Yeah the fish I caught were at Leaburg by the bridge just west of the Launch. I have a book with some Lawful trails on it south to Roseburg and up North. Have not had a chance to check them out yet. Would be better to do something like that with other Jeeps on the trail to be safe... What about you? Do you know of trails in our vicinity in general?

The one that has been recommended to me is in the Cottage Grove area and is called Noonday Trail. It is an old mining supply route and I would like to take a run at it while the weather is still good. My problem is that I need new tires before I do it and I am trying to hold off until I lift and re-gear early next year. I have been watching locally for some Rubi tale offs to get me by but haven’t found anything that was a good enough deal.

Hi Brian, Wow the Noonday Trail is very interesting to me. Looks like fun. I still have to get my Class II Sticker for both our jeeps. Awesome link - Thank you very much for that!! Sweet video and other informational links to boot. :jeep2: I understand waiting a while until you are ready. You are the first one I came across on this web site in our area. Would be fun putting together a group adventure to the old mines. :dancingbroccoli: I wonder how a metal detector might come in handy or not. :tumbleweed: LOL!
